Cues back in action in Snooker League

WITH the Christmas break over its back to normality with the return of the Snooker League.
In Division one it remains Q-Stix A on top with a 4 - 1 win over second placed St Comgalls.
On target for the Snooker Club, M Kane, B McIlroy, B Hylands and Neil McKelvey. Dean McDonagh beat M Gowdie in the last frame to take a point for the Saints.
Up in Ballyclare it was the Derby match in the Comrades Club. Comrades B came out top with wins for Declan McClean, Chris Todd and Stevie Crymble. The in form Steven Higgins with a break of 44 and Tommy Balmber secured two points for the A team.
Latharna had another narrow defeat away at Carrick Golf Club. R Weir and W Millar with a 46 won the first two but the Golfers returned with the next three frames to secure victory. Bottom of the table clash was won by the Legion 4 - 1 away at Ballyclare Golf Club.
In Division two its Drumalis who are setting the pace with a 4 - 1 away win at St Johns, with wins for Micky McCambridge, D Hegarty, B Ashe and Danny McAllister.
Q-Stix B remain in second with a 3 - 2 away win at Greenbank A, L McCormick with a 30 break, B McIlroy snr, and A Lilly were all on target for the Snooker Club with Stevie Proctor and Allan Corrigan securing two points for Greenbank.
Clonlee are now three points clear of Clubmates Victoria after a 4-1 win over Greenbank B and will be hoping to improve on their frame wins this half.
