Gymnast of the Year Awards

THE Governing Body for Gymnastics in Northern Ireland will be presenting its inaugural Sports Awards 'Gymnast of The year '2009' at The Long Gallery, Stormont, by MLA Jim Shannon on Wednesday 13th January 2010.
This special event coincides with an exciting year for the Association, which excels on leading, supporting and performing in the exciting, dynamic and ever popular sport of gymnastics.
The Management Board and staff have worked tirelessly to make this evening special and highlight the success of their modernisation programme that is resulting in extended and improved services to its long-standing affiliated clubs and gymnastic family in Northern Ireland.
GNI are honoured to have the company of special guests on the night with representatives from British Gymnastics; Mr. Paul Garber, President; Mr. Mark Gannon, Director of Development; and Sport Northern Ireland representatives; Mr. Alan Moneypenny, Vice Chair and Mr. Brian McCargo, Council Member.
Many other special guests will include our selected winners, their family members and a distinguished GNI retired member who will be receiving an honorary award for services to Gymnastics. Numerous sponsors will also be in attendance, whose generous support and backing have ensured a special package on the evening to our 9 nominees.
